Safi, which is a province rich in economic potential, natural resources and human resource skills, has always been a strategic and important territory in the national economy. Youssoufia, a province known and recognized by its rich phosphate deposits, its large pastoral fields, its essentially sheep breeding of a great nutritional quality.

Created on August 13, 1973, as part of the rapprochement of the administration of the citizens, the province of El Kelâa des Sraghna belongs to the Region of Marrakesh Tensift El Haouz, bordering the provinces of Settat, Azilal, Fkih Bensaleh, Rhamna, El Haouz. Essaouira is located in the south-west of the Marrakesh-Safi region, on the western slope of the Great Atlas Mountains, along the Atlantic coast. It is bordered to the North by the Province of Safi, to the South by the Wilaya of Agadir and the Province of Taroudant and to the East by the Province of Chichaoua. Relief: Almost mountainous zone, rugged in the south and made up of small plains interspersed with hills in the north.
