Industry


The industrial sector plays a fundamental role in the socio-economic development of the Marrakesh-Safi Region. .
It consists mainly of the chemical and para-chemical industries and the agri-food industries, together contributing more than 95% of total regional production. The industrial sector of the province counts 674 productive establishments in 2013, their distribution in the different provinces is illustrated in the table below.
INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION :
In 2013, the value of production is estimated at nearly 21.5 billion DH, a contribution of 6% of the total national production.
EXPORTATION
With a figure of more than 10.5 billion in 2013, the region occupies a prominent place in the national economy with a contribution of 10% of national exports.
INVESTMENT
In 2013, the industrial investments are estimated at 2.75 Milliard DH presenting a share of 12% compared to the total national investments.
ADDED VALUE
As for the regional added value, it is estimated in 2013 at more than 15 billion DH, that is to say a contribution of 15% of the national added value.

STAFF
In 2013, the number of regional employees is 31732, which represents 6% of the national workforce.
